Understanding the credentials
What Our Accreditations Mean
Every hospital in our network holds at least one of these accreditations. Here's what each one actually verifies, so you know what you're looking at on each hospital's page.
Joint Commission International
An internationally recognized standard for patient safety and quality of care, also held by leading hospitals in the US, UK, and Gulf region. Among our network, BLK-Max and Indraprastha Apollo hold this accreditation.
National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers
India's own quality benchmark for clinical care, patient rights, and hospital infrastructure. Every hospital in our network holds NABH accreditation at minimum.
National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories
Certifies that a hospital's diagnostic and pathology labs meet rigorous accuracy and reliability standards — relevant to how confidently you can trust test and scan results.
Why this matters for you: NABH confirms a hospital meets India's clinical and safety standards; JCI signals that standard is benchmarked against international best practice; NABL specifically covers lab and diagnostic accuracy. A hospital can hold one, two, or all three — we note the exact accreditation on each hospital's own page so you can compare before choosing.

Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to what patients most commonly ask before choosing a hospital through HealPassage.
Is HealPassage a hospital, or do you just help me find one? +
HealPassage is a medical tourism facilitator, not a hospital or medical provider. We review your case, match you to the right partner hospital and specialist, and coordinate logistics — but all diagnoses and treatment are performed by the independent, licensed hospitals in our network.
Does HealPassage charge a fee for matching me to a hospital? +
No. Our consultation, hospital matching, and treatment plan coordination are free, regardless of which hospital you're matched to or whether you ultimately decide to travel. Any costs involved are for the hospital treatment itself, quoted transparently before you commit.
How do you decide which hospital is right for my condition? +
Our medical coordination team reviews your reports against the specific strengths of each partner hospital — for example, BLK-Max for bone marrow transplant, Fortis Escorts for cardiac and organ transplant, or CK Birla for maternity care — then identifies the individual specialist whose experience best matches your case, not just the hospital in general.
Can I choose a specific hospital myself instead of being matched? +
Yes. If you already have a preferred hospital from our network, let us know and we'll coordinate directly with their specialists. Our matching recommendation is there to help if you're unsure, not a requirement.
How is this different from contacting a hospital directly? +
You can contact any of our partner hospitals directly. HealPassage's role is comparing options across our full network on your behalf, confirming which specialist genuinely fits your case, and handling the coordination between you and the hospital — so you're not doing that research and back-and-forth yourself, especially from abroad.
What accreditation do your partner hospitals hold? +
Every hospital in our network holds NABH accreditation at minimum, with several also holding JCI and NABL accreditation. Each hospital's specific accreditation is listed on its individual page.
Do you help with visas and travel, or only the medical side? +
Both. Beyond matching you to a hospital and specialist, we coordinate visa documentation, travel planning, and communication with the hospital's own international patient team from your first inquiry through discharge and follow-up.
How do I get started? +
Share your medical reports and condition details with our team. We'll review your case, recommend a suited hospital and specialist from our network, and get you a treatment plan and cost estimate — typically within 24-48 hours.
